DEAR EDITOR,
Please allow me space in your newspaper to respond to my name being mentioned in a published opinion piece in the Guyana Chronicle’s Features section under ‘The Observer’ of October 5, 2014.
I appreciate Government’s efforts to manage the affairs of State with integrity and I believe in the current administration’s professionalism. But I refuse to become embroiled or involved in any matter involving Government versus any institution or organization, and cannot allow my name to be bandied about so casually. These are issues that do not in the least concern me, and my personal role would add nothing to the fray.
I am not one for disputes, personal wars, strife or dissension. My aim is to play a positive, engaging, cooperative role to build bridges and foster understanding and collaboration.
My association with the Kaieteur newspaper and with Glenn Lall in terms of business ended over two decades ago, and today I am very happy that he has made the newspaper a successful media organ. I have no beef with him. Whatever is going on between him and Government is no concern of mine, and I refuse to be drawn into it.
I will forever cherish Glenn Lall as a good friend of mine, and I will not get into personal wars and vendettas. I will not be drawn into personal disputes of this nature.
Shaun Michael Samaroo
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
