One of Guyana’s most consistent performers on the bodybuilding stage, Devon Davis of the Guyana Defence Force Gym made himself and country proud once again when he won the Flyweight (Under 132lbs) division at the 42nd Central American and Caribbean Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation Championships which took place over the weekend (October 4-5) in Saint Marten.
Davis put his stamp on this category at the CAC with his third consecutive gold to join illustrious company in fellow Guyanese Sylvan Gardner who won three consecutive Bantamweight gold medals in 2002, 2003 and 2004 in Venezuela, Bahamas and Guyana when this nation hosted in 2004.
Davis, Mr. Guyana 2012, ever since hitting the bodybuilding stage has presented a well chiseled, toned and balanced physique so it is no surprise that he has been reaping the rewards at this level.
Reigning Mr. Guyana and fierce challenger to Davis, Kerwyn Clarke, placed 4th in the Welterweight category coming up against stiff competition.
