A North West District man has been robbed of $4M during a river attack by armed men who rammed his boat.
According to police, the robbery took place on Thursday on the Baramani River, in the North West area, Region One.
Rudolph Ashby, of Aruka River, was reportedly in his boat around 18:30hrs when the incident occurred. He was reportedly on his way home.
Investigations reveal that Ashby’s boat was rammed by another. In it were four men, two were armed, one with a shotgun and another with a handgun.
The men threatened Ashby, demanding money. They escaped shortly after with the cash.
Police said that Ashby’s boat suffered damage. Investigations are continuing.
