De Sinco Trading of John and Sheriff Streets, Campbellville has continued its support of
local athletes; the latest to benefit from the entity’s largesse is Queen’s College athlete Virlyn Gibson. The entity donated a pair of running shoes to the athlete at a simple ceremony held at their location yesterday.
Gibson, who is the Captain of the Guyana Road Runners Track and Field Club copped silver in the girl’s Under-14 high jump at the National Schools Track and Field championship in 2013 and is currently preparing for the Queen’s College Inter House Track Meet set for later this month. She will compete in the 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m in the Under-16 division. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of De Sinco Trading Frank De Abreu who made the presentation to Gibson said they are pleased to support the athlete and wished her well in her career.
Gibson thanked the entity for their support and pledged to do her best with the aim of representing her country.
