Alpha United hammered Caledonia AIA of Trinidad and Tobago 5-1 in a practice game yesterday at the Centre of
Excellence stadium in Trinidad.
Preparing for their return CONCACAF Champions League clash against the Portland Timbers of the US in Portland, Oregon on Tuesday, Alpha were busy preparing for the encounter with several practice games which culminated yesterday. They leave today for the US and their return clash.
Gregory Richardson and Manasseh Primo, who netted a double, were among those on target for Alpha. They led 2-1 at the interval, slamming in three in the second half.
Alpha scored some 16 goals in their last three games with a 6-0 win over Den Amstel and a 5-1 victory over a Georgetown combination ahead of yesterday’s hiding of Caledonia. The game was watched by executives of the club and also Coach Wayne Dover, who expressed pleasure at their performances and was looking forward for a similar or even better showing against the Timbers on Tuesday.
