As the executives of the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA) continue in their developmental drive, two boxers have been selected to travel to Barbados this weekend to participate in a one night Goodwill tournament slated for Sunday August 31 next.
Bantamweight pugilist, Travis Hubbard and Heavyweight Markember Pierre, leave tomorrow and will enter the ring on Sunday evening. They will be accompanied by Cuban Coach, Francisco Hernandez Roldan in the capacity of Manager/Coach.
President of the GBA, Steve Ninvalle met with the boxers at the Andrew ‘Sixhead’ Lewis Boxing Gym yesterday morning and gave them a pep talk. He reminded the duo that they are ambassadors and urged them to be on their best behavior.
The boxers, in turn, committed to good behavior and vowed to win their respective bouts.
