Banks DIH Limited presented bursaries to 23 children of employees and shareholders who were successful at 2014 National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) during a presentation ceremony Saturday at Banks DIH Sports Club at Thirst Park.
The awardees were encouraged to place education as a priority by Mr. Carlton Joao, Sales and Marketing Executive who delivered the feature address.
“The positive attitudes you develop today as you approach your high school work will be a part of you in later life, always remember – the right attitude makes you a winner,” he told the recipients.
Mr. Joao congratulated the awardees and thanked their parents for supporting them in preparation for the examination.
Communications Manager Mr. Troy Peters said that Banks DIH Limited pay great emphasis on awarding students who are successful at the NGSA. “The Company commitment over the years is unwavering as we offer tangible support to the development of the students,” he said in opening remarks.
Mr. George Mc Donald, Co-Managing Director/Marketing Director made the presentation of awards to the recipients ten of whom are children of employees chwhile 13 are children of shareholders.
The awardees are: Sasha Ramnauth, Joel Moses, Kelly Gurrick, Yufial Wiltshire, Sidaine Peters, Shemar Bristol, Julius Bacchus, Shay Britton, Brad Reynolds, Sachin Harkishin, Christine Halley, Alec Ramdhan, Bhipasha Challu, Ronald Kendall, Rhea Sahai, Sara Osman, Keyola McQueen, De Andre Manbodh, Arryanna Sankar, Derron Venture, Tyriek Rodney, Danae Hartley and Lisa Joseph.
