Undefeated Hornets will tackle a resurgent University of Guyana (UG) team in the opening game of a double header
as play in the Guyana Rugby Football Union 10-a-side Tournament continues today, at the National Park.
Hornets, who drew with Caribs in their opening encounter and then beat the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) in their next fixture, lead the points’ standing with six points and will no doubt be looking to extend their advantage against the academics, who have four points following a win and a loss in their two games to date.
In the other game to complete the double header, the Army will engage cellar dwellers Caribs and this encounter should see the former start as favourites to gain maximum points.
The GDF is joint second place along with UG, while Caribs have two from a draw in their opening clash against Hornets.
The first game commences at 15:00 hrs, while the second is scheduled to start at 16:30 hrs.
