A 25-year-old mother of two was granted $80,000 bail after she was charged for stealing from her employer.
Melissa Premnauth, of Lot 27 Timehri Public Road, East Bank Demerara, is accused of stealing $175,000 between June 9 and July 12, last from her employer, Gafsons Industries Limited at Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara.
She pleaded not guilty when she appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The facts of the case were not presented.
At the end of the short hearing, Premnauth, a first-time offender, was granted bail and the case is set to be called at the Providence Magistrates’ Court on October 6 for statements.
