Gamal Hamid, a former member of the Meten-Meer-Zorg West Cricket Club of the West Coast Demerara, recently made a timely donation to the club. Hamid, who now resides overseas, handed over two bats, three pairs of batting gloves, two pairs of batting pads and one gear bag to the organization.
Speaking at the simple ceremony, executive member Troy Khan said that the Club welcomes the gesture and urged the members to take good care and make full use of the equipment. He thanked Hamid for his support. Hamid stated that he is pleased to give back to the club and also encouraged the youth to take the game seriously.
