When people walk de straight and narrow dem does get peace and respect. Is when dem decide fuh tek de crooked path that dem does deh in real trouble.
Today, nuff of dem big ones can’t find peace. Dem now want de courts fuh help dem get some peace from answering questions about de wrang things dem do.
Tek de case of all de contracts that de government give to people.
Dem boys talk bout one contract that see a Chinee company selling timber to Guyanese sawmillers when dem done ship out all wha de boat can hold fuh carry timber to China.
If was local contractors who get a cease order fuh stop cutting wood and dem did continue, de government would move in and seize every piece of equipment that dem had.
Then dem woulda fine dem and if de local contractors couldn’t pay de fine, then de very government would seh that dem sell de equipment.
Dem boys want to know wha happen wid Bai Shaan. How come nobody didn’t know when dem was bringing in all dem trucks and skidders and thing fuh cut down trees? And how come nobody ain’t seize de equipment after one authority order Bai Shaan fuh stop wukking?
Long time, people use to seh that Guyana got complex fuh foreigners. If a Guyanese walk pun you toe you want fight de man.
But if a foreigner mash you foot, you does smile and tell he sorry and ask he if he want mash you other foot.
Bai Shaan come and spit in Guyana eye and dem who ruling de country open de other eye fuh more spit. And all because de Chinee government spend money fuh carry dem to China fuh a good time.
Old people does always seh that wha sweet in people mouth does be bitter in dem behind. De trip to China was sweet, wha de Chinee doing is more than bitter in dem behind.
And de Chinee got a proverb which seh that sweet mouth does end up wid pepper backside.
Talk half and brace fuh wha more got to happen.
