Grove Hi Tech, led by five goals from National Under-17 forward Joel Dick thumped Kuru Kururu Warriors 8-0 to maintain their unbeaten record when play in the CULT sponsored East Bank Football Association (EBFA) league continued on Saturday last at the Grove Playfield.
After opening the scoring in the 9th minute compliments of a Mervin Squires effort, Dick took over proceedings netting in the 30th, 39th, 42nd, 51st, and 64th minute.
The Linden Soesdyke Highway based Warriors did their utmost to keep the Hi Tech boys at bay but were not able to for any long period. To add to their woes, Warriors netted an own goal in the 67th minute.
Mervin Squires put the icing on the cake when he converted in the 80th minute to seal a huge win for the home team.
Meanwhile, Agricola Red Triangle were down to oppose Diamond United in the day’s other encounter but the Diamond boys were a no show which meant that Agricola took full points without breaking a sweat via the walk over route.
Matches are set to continue on Saturday at the same venue.
