Malgre Tout, Vreed-en-Hoop and Bohemia were among the teams that carted off titles when the 17th Annual Primary Schools Windball Cricket Champions Trophy Competition organised by Sport Officer Allister Munroe continued at various venues across the country.
At the Wales Community Centre Ground
Malgre Tout Primary Girls won their first Windball cricket title after defeating Vreed-en-Hoop by ten wickets.
Defending champions Vreed en Hoop batted first and managed just 30-3. Malgre Tout reply with 31-0.
In the semi final, Malgre Tout beat Kawall by 45 runs.
Malgre Tout batted first and made 70-1, Elizabeth Emmanuel 25, Ashanatie Anderson 17..
Kawall in reply, were restricted to 25.4. Kimberly Ally grabbed 2 wkts.
Boys-
Patentia beat Vreed-en-Hoop by seven wickets to claim the Boys title.
In the final, Vreed En Hoop made 52-5, Surendra Karez 33.
Patentia 60-3, Anthony Bharrat 49 not out with 8x6s.
In semi-final action, Vreed-en-Hoop eased to a nine-wicket win over Kawall.
Kawall 32-4, Rahul Sankar 13. Vreen en Hoop replied with 35-1, Surendra Karez 16.
At Welfare Centre Ground East Canje Berbice
New Amsterdam Zone-
St. Aloysius beat defending champion St. Therese by two runs.
Final- Saint Aloysius 54-4 Anetra Hamilton 10, Vanessa John 10.
Saint Therese reply with 52.
Girls’ semi-final –
Edinburgh reached 37-4 with extras top scoring with 33.
St. Therese replied with 38-2. Serena Cadogan 13.
St. Aloysius defeated All Saints by eight wickets.
All Saints 50-2, Roetmoff Sonel 13. Saint Aloysius 51-2.
Boys- All Saints 44-3, Isaacs Simeon 19. Overwinning was restricted to 43-3, Devon Saywack 24.
St Therese 43-4, Rickford Blair 18. Defending Region #6 champions Edinburgh 48-1, Ashic Henry 18 and Jevon Persaud 10.
Edinburgh 46-3, Lloyd David 16. All Saints made 40-5.
Canje Zone
Bohemia Primary school won both divisions
In the Girls final- St. Patrick’s Primary school batted first and scored 35-1.
Bohemia replied with 36-1.
Boys- Bohemia compiled 63-5, Sader Kamall 19, Mohan Harrykhalah 16. Robert Sunthgotam 2-15.
St. Patrick’s in reply were restricted to 51-, Jamal Sinclair 10. Mohan Harrykhalah, Sadek Kamall and Giovan Hitnarine each picked up 2 wkts.
