Entries close on Monday July 28 next for the Kennard Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) Emancipation Meet which is set for August 3 at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice.
Several races are carded for the day and will be run under the rules of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority. No late entry will be accepted.
The events slated are J 3 Maiden (5 furs) with the winners pocketing $150,000, G 3- Non Winner from August 2013 to present and H and Lower (5 furs) with a first prize of $300,000, J 1 and Lower W/A (6 furs) for a first prize of $200,000, D 3 and Lower W/A (6 furs) which has a top prize of $500,000, G 1 and Lower (6 furs) which will see the winner taking home $320,000, I and Lower W/A (6 furs) for a top purse of $250,000 and the feature A and Lower race over a distance of one mile will see the champion receiving $1,000,000.
