The planned practice match at the GNIC ground for the National under-15 team was washed out without a ball being bowled yesterday despite brilliant sunshine all day.
The GNIC ground remained in an unplayable condition forcing the team, which is preparing for this year’s Regional under-15 cricket tournament in Jamaica from July 22, to resort to their second consecutive day of practice at the indoor nets at the Guyana Cricket Board’s Chetram Singh Centre of Excellence in LBI.
The team which being led by Bhaskar Yadram, one of three players returning from last year’s team, Managed by Essequibian Andy Ramnarine and Coached by Berbician Julian Moore, are scheduled to depart Guyana on Friday.
