The Rising Sun Turf Club/Inshan Bacchus ‘Hard Runnings’ Trucking Service grand one day horserace meet which was set for tomorrow has been push back by one week due to the inclement weather.
Persistent rain over the past few days left the Rising Sun Turf Club, Arima Park West Coast Berbice venue in a soggy state leaving the organizers with no alternative but to push the event back to Sunday 6th July at the same venue.
The Eight race programme has over $8M in cash, trophies and other incentives up for grabs and had so far attracted over 65 of the country’s racehorses.
The programme remains the same with the feature race set for horses classified D1 and lower with a lucrative first prize of $1M and trophy up for the taking over 1500M. Among the horses entered for that event are Treacle, Swing Easy, City Tune, Run Nana Run, CP Got Even, Tororoso, Milwaukee Blitz, Jack is My Style, Red and Lovely, Africanist and Goodwill Boy.
The other events on the days card are the co-feature event for three-year-old Guyana and West Indies- bred animals with a first prize of $600,000 and trophy over 1400M.
There is a race for animals classified F1 and Lower also 1400M with the winner set to take home $500,000 and trophy.
The G3 and Lower event is once again expected to be competitive as the animals will race over 1000M for a winning take of $400,000 and trophy.
The H1 and Lower horses will run for a top prize of $400,000 and trophy also over 1000M.
The introduction of the Two-year-old Guyana and West Indian- bred horses will see them compete over 600M for a first prize of $300,000 and trophy.
Horses running in the I1 and Lower 1000M race will battle for a first prize of $250,000 and trophy. The final event for the day is for animals classified J and Lower for a winners money of $200,000 over 1000M.
Top individual performers including top jockey, trainer and stable will receive incentives compliments of Trophy Stall, Bourda Market and the organizers.
