Little Light Domino team won 82 games to take top honours when the South Turkeyen Sports Committee and Guyana Veteran’s Legion recently staged a 6 teams dominoes competition at the Veteran’s Legion Hall, Carifesta Avenue. The Guyana Veteran Legions team finished second after scoring 78 games while Delta Force finished in the cellar with 69 games.
The respective winners received trophies donated by several corporate institutions and individuals, including Tent City and True Value and Gift Centre of Charity Essequibo. Cash prizes were donated by Attorney-at-law, Roysdale Forde, Henry Chase and Environment Minister, Robert Persaud, while medals were donated by Attorney-at-Law, Joseph Harmon. The tournament was organized by Johnny ‘Overseas’ Barnwell.
