Pooranmall takes ‘A’ division Draughts tourney

The National Draughts Association held a National Draughts Competition on May 31 and June 1 at National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.
On Saturday, in the ‘B’ class, Mark Braithwaite was victorious followed by Michael Francis.
On Sunday, in the ‘A’ division Khemraj Pooranmall was once again outstanding, taking first place with 27 points. Floyd Cummberbatch (23) and Carton Simon (22) followed in that order.
The next competition is scheduled for June 14 and will be a hundred square.
