No.72 Cut and Load is the first team through to the quarterfinals of the Tenelec Inc. Under-15 two-innings cricket competition in Berbice after taking first innings points from Skeldon Community Centre in their Zone D (Upper Corentyne) match; they also ended as Zone winners.
Spearheading No. 72 Cut and Load was Kemchand Chatterpaul who turned in a fine all-round performance, he top scored with 36 to lead No. &2 to 189 while his off spin achieved 5-30 to lead the restriction of Skeldon to 108 in their first innings.
Medium pacer Nazim Ali had figures of 6-5 from 3 overs and 5-1 from 5.2 overs for a match haul of 11-6 runs from 8.2 overs, leading Albion Community Centre as they skittled out Big Star for 16 runs in both their innings. In Albion’s only innings, Big Star pacer Kevon Hooper took 7-52.
