Police are looking for two armed bandits who walked into the Rubis Gas Station at Bel Air on Thursday night and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash after forcing workers and customers to lie on the floor.
Kaieteur News understands that a little before 21:00 hrs, two men came out of a car and walked up to one of the two pump attendants who were on duty. There were no customers at the Gas Station at that time.
The armed men then escorted the pump attendant into the gas station’s minimart and demanded that everyone lie on the floor. It is unclear how many persons were in the minimart.
According to information received, one of the bandits emptied the cashier’s drawer while his associate stood on guard.
Before leaving, the bandits collected everyone’s phones, fired a shot in the store, jumped into a car where their accomplice was waiting, and took off.
No one has been arrested as yet.
