Ryan Mahadeo chalked the maximum 18 games to guide Upsetters of Bartica to victory in the final of their dominoes competition played on Sunday last at Amit Ramnarine’s residence in Good Success, Wakenaam.
Mahadeo got support from Salo Sheriff with 17 and A. Singh 16 as Upsetters scored 94 games to beat Mix Up of Bartica who managed 71 and third place All Star of Wakenaam with 63. W. Moses and David Drepaul marked the maximum 18 games each for Mix Up, while Vijay Persaud made 13, Nazeer Mohamed and Mohamed Kalam 10 apiece for All Star.
Mix Up won the first round with 68 games ahead of Upsetters 67 and Double Six of Wakenaam 43. Drepaul scored 14 and Arnold Persaud 12 for the winners while Leonard Seepersaud recorded the maximum 18 and R. Mahadeo 12 for Upsetters. Suraj (only name given) made 17 for Double Six whose Alex Chung was the lone love bird.
Upsetters who sponsored the competition and Mix Up collected $50,000 each.
