The Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) has named its team to represent the association in the Inter Association 2014 series that brings together Linden and Berbice basketball teams.
Natasha Alder will Captain the side with Timike Joseph-DeRouche as her Vice Captain. The other members are Kean Andrews, Natasha Andrews, Ameena Alphonso, Ginelle Ifill, LaToya Rodney, Lowquantor Gibson, Kristy Roberts, Sharon Jerome, Kadian Rowe and Rhonda Charles. Brian Carter is the Coach.
The first game is scheduled for tomorrow at the Mackenzie Sports Club Hard Court with Georgetown bouncing against Linden while the teams will meet again Saturday May 31, 2014. Apart from determining which association has the better female team, performances in these games will be one of the key considerations for selection to the National team for participation in the Caribbean Basketball Confederation Championship set for the Island of Tortola, British Virgin Islands, later this year.
