Guyana Veteran Legion (GVL) will be hosting a King and Queen Dominoes competition today at GVL Hall starting at 15:30 hrs. Entrance fee is $500 per player.
At stake are trophies and medals donated by president of the GVL George Grimes, Joseph Harmon and Johnny Barnwell. The competition is being organized by Clifton Bobb and Barnwell.
Meanwhile, Bannas Foundation will be hosting a small goal football competition tomorrow at Meadowbrook playfield commencing at 10:00 hrs. A, B, C and D field Sophia, Tiger Bay, Lodge and East Ruimveldt are the teams expected to take part.
Entrance fee is $800 per player. At stake are trophies, medals and cash prizes donated by Kent Phillips, Bannas Foundation, Trophy Stall Bourda Market and Melbourne Inn. The competition is being organized by Johnny Barnwell and Kevin Walcott.
