Under the theme ‘Science, Mathematics and Technology: Providing Solutions for the 21st century’ the Education Ministry will be hosting its three-day National Science, Mathematics and Technology Fair 2014 in Region Two. This is the final of several such regional events.
According to the Ministry of Education, over 100 science projects will be on display from schools across the country. Some of the features include an educational movie corner, awareness workshops on Mangroves, Climate Change, Microscience experiments and Interactive Mathematics.
The event will be held at the Anna Regina Multilateral School from today thru Thursday, from 10:00 – 15:00 hrs.
Minister of Education Priya Manickchand and ministry officials are expected to be in attendance at the opening ceremony.
“We would like to encourage the public to support our students as they demonstrate the use of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to solve local school and community problems,” Minister Manickchand said.
