Two organisations were recently given a timely boost by Grace Kennedy Remittance Services (GUY) Ltd, under that company’s Bill Express brand to pull off separate events planned for the Easter holiday.
The two organisations that benefitted from the Company’s goodwill included Phoenix Athletic Club out of Bartica and Energy Entertainment Group.
Leon Stewart, member of the Phoenix Athletic Club was one of the recipients who received a quantity of Bill Express branded T-shirts for an upcoming event that the club will host which is dubbed the “Easter Athletic championship”.
The event is scheduled for tomorrow at the Bartica Community Center Ground and is expected to feature races in the 100 metres categories for Under-10 to open levels athletes, both males and females.
This event along with the club’s Day/Night sports held in October will now feature annually on the Club’s activity calendar according to Stewart. And receiving a monetary contribution along with some branded items for an annual Kite flying competition was Event Coordinator of the Energy Entertainment Group, Cordel Prescod.
The annual Kite Flying competition which is in its fourth year targets residents, mainly children and young people in the Campbellville area and surrounding communities. Since the start of the competition, Bill Express has been sponsoring the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the most creative kite category.
This year, patrons are challenged to make Bill Express branded kites.
