Guyana were leading by 113 runs with eight second innings wickets standing at the end of the second day of their sixth round match against the Leeward Islands yesterday in the Regional 4-Day Tournament at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua.
Guyana, who made 240 in their first innings with skipper Leon Johnson (110) scoring his maiden Regional First-Class century with 15 fours and a six, dismissed the home team for 174 with fast bowler Keon Joseph (4-54) and off-spinner Zaheer Mohamed Shadir (3-12) doing the bulk of the damage with the ball for the South Americans who were 47-2 from 20 overs in their second innings with Trevon Griffith unbeaten on 30.
In the other matches: T&T were 94/1 at the second day after making 244 in their first innings then bowling Jamaica out for 180, while Combined Campuses were 66/4 at stumps after making 225 in their first innings and dismissing the Windwards for 157.
