Fresh off winning the Guyana Defence Force Anniversary Tournament, the University of Guyana continued its dominance on the local scene
with another resounding performance as they hammered the Army 48-28 when play in the Bounty Farm Products 15’s Rugby Competition continued yesterday, at the National Park.
Rondell McArthur was on fire as he ended over the try line on three occasions in a scintillating display, while Lance Adonis added two and a conversion.
Michael Anderson, Danny Anderson and Telroy McAlmont each scored a try, while Godfrey Broomes with two conversions and Allister Walker with one, completed their tally.
For the soldiers, Joseph Rahaman had an outstanding afternoon, converting four times along with a try. He received support from Terrence Daniels, Rondell Hutson and Deron Harry, who each ran over the backline once for tries.
