The National Sports Commission (NSC) Annual Mashramani Age Group Tournament was played off over the weekend at the Queens College Badminton Courts. The tournament, which was very well attended by players from schools around Georgetown, saw matches in the Under – 11, 13, 15, 17 & 19 categories.
Both of Guyana’s Top Badminton Players, Narayan & Priyanna Ramdhani defended their titles and maintained their strong form at the top, strengthening their record of never losing an Age Group Tournament or any tournament locally over the last five years.
The Finals results in each division are as follows:
Under-11 Boys Singles Finals: Elan Rahaman defeated Vikash Mootoo: 21-6, 21-8
Under-11 Girls Singles Finals: Sarah Samad defeated Jayde DaSilva: 21-4
Under-13 Boys Singles Finals: Elan Rahaman defeated Tyreese Richards: 21-15
Under-13 Girls Singles Finals: Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Abosaide Cadogan: 21-4, 21-4
Under-15 Boys Singles Finals: Hemraj Beharry defeated Joshua Singh: 21-6, 21-8
Under-15 Girls Singles Finals: Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Abosaide Cadogan: 21-8, 21-3
Under-17 Boys Singles Finals: Narayan Ramdhani defeated Jonathan Mangra: 21-11, 21-14
Under-17 Girls Singles Finals: Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Ambika Ramraj: 21-5, 21-11
Under-19 Boys singles Finals: Narayan Ramdhani defeated Jonathan Mangra: 21-14, 21-11

Under-19 Boys Semi Finals: Narayan Ramdhani defeated Omar Abdelbari: 21-7, 21-4
Under-19 Boys Semi-Finals: Jonathan Mangra defeated Noel Shewjattan: 23-21, 16-21, 21-13
The Presentation to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd placed winners will take place on Friday 28th February.
