The GUMDAC Annual Open Badminton Tournament which started on Friday 14th of February 2014 at the Queen’s College Badminton Court concluded on Saturday 15th.
The Finals for both the Men Doubles and Ladies Doubles were played off with Guyana’s top pair Priyanna Ramdhani and Ambika Ramraj defeating Althea McDavid and Abosaide Cadogan: 21-9, 21-11.
Guyana’s two top National Players Narayan Ramdhani & Nicholas Ali defeated Christopher Persaud and Noel Shewjattan: 21-18, 21-14
The presentation was made to the winners just after the Finals and the GBA expressed pleasure to stage a good tournament to start off the year.
Next week the Annual National Sports Commission Age Group Junior Tournament is expected to be played off on Friday and Saturday at the Queen’s College Badminton Courts.
The GUMDAC overall results are:

3rd Angelica DaSilva & Krystal Peters
MEN DOUBLES:
