Specialist marked 82 games to win the opening round of the Robert Williams Memorial Dominoes competition on Wednesday night last at R and R venue in Meadowbrook.
R and R with 75 games placed second, while Dream Team placed third with 65. Paul Lewis scored 17 and Mark Rodrigues 16 for the winners, while Orin Favorite chalked up 17 and Milton Brown 15 for R and R; Eon Kishan made 16 for Dream Team.
The competition continued yesterday at La Belle Hotel and bar. The champion team will pocket a trophy and $200,000, the runner up a trophy and $100,000, third place a trophy and $50,000 and fourth place $25,000. The most valuable player in the final will be given $5,000.
