Fresh off conducting its Annual General Meeting, the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC) will get its 2014 calendar of events rolling on Sunday with the staging of an Endurance Race Meet, at South Dokota Circuit,
commencing from 12.00 hrs.
Brian Ten-Pow and Shawn Seejattan, a pair that has dominated the Endurance races for sometime are anticipated to receive stiff opposition from the likes Syed Hassan and Afraz Ally, Shiraz and Shahab Roshandin, while the Ali brothers, Mark Vieira, Bethune, Anand Ramchand, Kevin Jeffrey, Andrew King and Adrian Fernandes are all experienced and formidable drivers.
The teams confirmed so far to participate in this weekend’s Meet include: Full Works, Buy Me Auto Sales and E Racing and they’ve all vowed to give the fans an exciting display of endurance, dexterity and reliability.
Endurance racing has been steadily growing in popularity and an official close to the fraternity stated that the amount of teams to have participated last year increased and has shown an upward trend in terms of competitors’ participation.
Among the sponsors on board to dater are: Banks DIH, Ready Mix Cement, Medi Car, Secure Innovations & Concepts, B.M. Soat, Ray’s Auto Sales and A & R Giwanram Printery Inc.
