The Woodpecker Products Annual Christmas Singles Tournament concluded on Friday at the Queens College Badminton Courts. Matches continued in Under-19 Girls Singles Finals where Caribbean Gold Medalist Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Ambika Ramraj: 21-16, 21-9 and was crowned the Under-15 & 19 Champion.
In the Open Men Final, Narayan Ramdhani defeated Nicholas Ali in a thrilling three setter with Nicholas Ali winning the first set at 22-20, but Caribbean & South American Bronze Medalist Narayan Ramdhani came back in the last two sets: 18-21, 15-21 to take the Open Men Singles Title and was crowned Junior and Senior Champion.

Under-19 Girls Singles Final:
Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Ambika Ramraj: 21-16, 21-9
Open Men’s Singles Quarter Final:
Narayan Ramdhani defeated Armand Ramdhani: 21-7, 21-13
Noel Shewjattan defeated Jonathan Mangra: 21-15, 21-15
Christopher Persaud defeated Darrell Carpenay: 21-9, 19-21, 21-18
Nicholas Ali defeated Josh Oudit: 21-4, 21-1
Open Men’s Singles Semi-Final:
Narayan Ramdhani defeated Noel Shewjattan: 21-12, 21-13
Nicholas Ali defeated Christopher Persaud: 21-13, 21-4
Open Men’s Singles Finals:
Narayan Ramdhani defeated Nicholas Ali: 22-20, 18-21, 15-21
The Presentation to the winners in the different events was done immediately after the Finals and was done by Lance Sanford & Marlyn Sanford, Senior Badminton players from London, England, who is visiting Guyana.
