Comfort Sleep has proven that the famous “spirit” of Christmas is alive and well. It is not allowing the recent misfortunes it endured to stand in the way of it touching the hearts of many.
On Thursday, Comfort Sleep spread cheer to the less fortunate through a Christmas party.
The merrymaking all went down at Malgre Tout Roman Catholic Church, West Bank Demerara.
This was the fifth of the entity’s annual Christmas parties. About 220 were treated to the usual delights that children enjoy—- food, ice-cream and little gifts.
The children are from the Malgre Tout Primary, La Parfaite Harmonie Primary, LaGrange Primary, and Bagostville Primary.
Despite the fact that Comfort Sleep was destroyed by fire late last month, the owner, Dennis Charran, said he made it his duty to put a smile on the faces of children.
Charran told Kaieteur News that despite, the fact that he has his problems; he will continue to do what he can to help children.
The proprietor said he will carry on the annual Christmas parties as well as the weekly feeding programme.
Another party is slated for today at New Amsterdam, Berbice.
