With the most anticipated horse race meet of the year just a few days away more sponsors have come on board for the long waited ‘Clash of the Champions’ showdown this Sunday at the Port Mourant Turf Club, Corentyne Berbice.
Beverage giants Banks DIH limited continues to lead the way with an attractive package for the feature ‘A’ class event.
Leading trophy provider: The Trophy Stall are also on board in a big way for the event that is jointly organised by Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club and Sports Facilities, Port Mourant Turf Club and Shariff Business Conglomerate and Racing Stable of West Berbice.
Over $8M are up for grabs in the eight race meet and fans cannot wait to see the best horses in Guyana in action with some 75 entries received so far.

The main A and lower event compliments of Banks DIH will feature the best of the best in Score’s Even, Elle’s Vision, Settle in Seattle in battle against newly imported Rock Movie Star, Money in Return and Some Legend and seasoned campaigners Got To Go, Grande de Roja, Donut Prince, CP Got Even, Prince Charming, Who is on the Case, Force Entry, the Message, Country Armagh and Zelick. They will gallop for the hefty $1.2M first prize and trophy over 6 Furlongs.
This Meet is being governed by the rules of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority (GHRA). Race time is 12:30hrs. Coordinator is Mohammed Nankoo Shariff.
