When de world hear that Nelson Mandela dead nuff people cry. When dem open dem paper dem see people of all races hugging up and sharing dem grief.
Then somebody ask dem boys if Guyana could ever be united.
Of course Guyana ain’t so divided and dem boys does see it when dem go to de market but in daily life dem same people who can be friendly does demonstrate suh much hate. Wha cause that? Some of de leaders we got in this country.
Dem boys seh that Mandela was de greatest thing forgiving but de leaders in Guyana does bear malice. Dem is de people who does smile wid you and as soon as you slip you want to know if is de same people who show you a nice face.
Yet dem got some leaders who does forgive. Jagdeo use to forgive. He forgive Rekha; he forgive nuff people who do cock wuk and thief state funds. He even forgive people who tell lie to de parliament once de people who ask de question was de opposition.
Jagdeo forgive dem who rape while dem was Minister and even dem who attempt rape and dem boys know why.
Donald slightly different but he forgive people too. He forgive all of dem who thief GINA money because to this day he ain’t tell dem nutten. He even help dem get wuk. He tun he face like Jagdeo when people talk bout Brazzy and how he shifting around NICIL money. Then he promote Brazzy.
One of the world’s leader, talking about Mandela, seh, ”Mandela’s remarkable life is an inspiring example of how much history still turns on the actions of a few men.” Dem boys know that nobody gun ever seh de same bout a Guyanese leader.
Talk half and tek steps to see that our leaders do something to mek people talk good bout dem.
