The Footsteps Mega Store extended its reach after the opening of another location at Croal and Longden Streets, Georgetown. The business will be opened to the public today. According to Marketing Director, Michael Alleyne, the store which is centrally located within the city will be ready in time for the Christmas holidays.
Alleyne said that the leased facility will be home to all brands of footwear, clothing and accessories. “In the near future, it will be linked to an onsite food court which will be home to both an existing and a new food franchise.
We feel that this central location will better able to serve our customers’ needs. We hope that they are able to fully utilise the facilities and it makes their shopping as hassle free as possible.”
The multimillion-dollar project, Alleyne said, was in response to overwhelming support by customers. The present extension will cater for 40 full-time employees and as the season progresses more will be employed to serve both flats of the store. “This will add to the 200-plus employees we have working for the company.”
