Little DIVA Flames Football Club were the recipient of twenty (20) pairs of football boots compliments of the National Association for Women Football (NAWF). The boots were handed out at the GFC Ground on Monday 4th November 2013 before the team’s training session.
Ms Vanessa Dickenson, President of the NAWF, hand over the football boots to a representative of the club Ms Aaliyah Stanley a National under-17 player. The club has five (5) Nat U-17 players in their squad.
The boots were donated by a sponsor who at this time has decided to remain anonymous and they have promised to continue to support football especially female football.
The other members of the club who received boots were, Mariska Corbin (Nat U17) Shaunna Taylor, Siedha Dummett, Jennel Brown (Nat U17), Atabia James, Precious Johnson, Shania Riley, Tandica La Rose, Althea Holligan (U17), Gabriella English, Dacaycia Norville, Alicia Simpson (U17) Latefha Rogers, Tiffiney Jupiter, Deborah Waldron, Troyan Barton, Janet Chinian, Lashana Young and Princess Gardner.
The team practices every Saturday at the GFC Ground commencing at 06:30 hrs. However, beginning this Wed at 06:00hrs, practice sessions will also be held at the same venue.
Sessions are conducted by Joseph “Bill” Wilson & Sheron “Sherry” Abrams. National Player Vurlon Mills also attends the session regularly and assist the coaches in the process.
