Police have launched an investigation into a stabbing, which occurred at Paruima landing in Mazaruni district of Region Seven, around midday on Tuesday.
While details surrounding the incident remain sketchy, Kaieteur News understands that Ronella Greene, 32 was stabbed several times in her chest, arms and legs, during a fight. Her assailant, indentified as “Angel” fled the jurisdiction, shortly after the stabbing.
Greene was attacked as she was hanging out with friends near a shop in the area. She was subsequently admitted at the Bartica Hospital for treatment.
Police investigations are ongoing; the suspect is yet to be arrested.
