Assassin, Turning Point and Scramblers have booked their places in the semi finals in Zone Four of the Georgetown leg of the F & H Nationwide Million Dollars Plus Dominoes tournament. Assassin and R and R came out on top of the respective quarter final matches played on Wednesday evening last at Gaulin Place, South Ruimveldt.
Assassin marked 71 games to beat Scramblers with 61 and T and T on 49. Navin Singh made the maximum 18 games for the winners while Andrew Young assisted with 16. Basil Bradshaw and Shellon Nicholson scored 15 each for Scramblers while Trevor Smith chalked 16 for T and T.
R and R who drew the bye to the final recorded 69 games to overcome Turning Point 62 and Dream Team 46 in the next quarter final game. Orin Favorite led R and R with 16 games while Ronald Forde chipped in with 14. Colin Mc Ewan and Sandra Welch were Turning Point leading players with 16 apiece.
Meanwhile, Godfrey Travis will host a Two In One Out, 4 – game tournament on Sunday at B-Field Sophia starting from 13:00hrs. The winning team will take home $100,000, the runner up $50,000 and the third place $30,000. Prizes are subject to change.
