The East Coast Cricket Board (ECCB) Trophy cricket tournament continues tomorrow with five matches on the East Coast of Demerara.
Bravados play Avish Auto Sales at unity, Fairfield take on Mahaica Sports Club at Fairfield, Enterprise (A) battle L.B.I. (A) at Enterprise, Better Hope (A) come up against Golden Grove (A) at Better Hope, Ogle (blue) face-off with Lusignan (B) at Ogle.
In the latest round of action last weekend, Dundee won the toss and batted first and made166 all out in 26 overs. Keith Fraser made 29 and Vishal Rampersaud 28. Bowling for Unity, Keith Faroop (7-0-39-4) and Davanand Mangal (6-0-24-2) were the most successful bowlers.
Unity in reply made 168 runs for 3 in 17 overs with Imran Khan getting an even century. He got support from Dellon Ross who made an unbeaten 31as Unity won by seven wickets.
Ogle won the toss and asked Golden Grove to bat and the visitors made 113 all out in 29 overs with Marvin Fitzpatrick leading the fight with 32. Anand Persaud (8-0-39-3) and Chris Pattadin (6-0-27-2) were the best bowlers for Ogle who replied 115-1 in 21.1 overs with Pattadin making an unbeaten 79 as Ogle won by 9 wickets.
Better Hope (B) batted first and made 164 runs all out in 25.1 overs. Top scorer Roy Persaud made 39 runs and Kevin Kowlessar 25 runs. Bowling for Plaisance was Charwayne McPherson 8-0-39-3 and Dwayne Andrews 6.1-0-32-4. Plaisance reply made 166 runs for 9 in 33 overs. Top scorer Charwayne McPherson made 45 runs. Bowling for Better Hope (B) Kevin Kowlessar (8-1-24-4) did the damage with Plaisance winning by one wicket.
Lusiignan (A) batted first and made 176 runs for 6 in 35 overs. Top scorer Krishna Deosarran made 63 runs and L. Deosarran 33 runs. Bowling for Enterprise was B. Samaroo 7-0-35-3 and A. Kishan 7-0-37-2. Enterprise in reply made 134 runs for 7 in 35 overs. Top scorer Rohan Mangal made 29 runs and Jaheer Mohamed 25 runs. Bowling for Lusignan (A) was Keon Franklin 5-0-14-3 and Steve Ramdass 7-0-36-2. Lusignan (A) won by 43 runs.
Fairfield batted first after winning the toss and made 118 runs all out in 32.5 overs. Top scorers Ramnarine Chatura made 32 runs and Deonarine Chatura 28 runs. Bowling for Strathavon was G. Hemraj 7-0-16-4 and G. Sugrim 7-0-17-3. Strathavon in reply made 93 runs all out in 34.1 overs. Top scorer for Strathavon G. Sugrim made 24 runs. Bowling for Fairfield as Walter Bourne (7-2-8-4) and Denhard Lovell (5-1-0-11-2) bowled well as Fairfield won by 26 runs.
