A secondary school child in need of medical assistance is among several persons who received free tickets to travel to a destination of their choice yesterday.
Raphael Williams and his father Shawn received two tickets to travel to the United States where the teen is expected to undergo medical examination and possible treatment after sustaining injuries at school.
The youth was wounded after he was accidentally struck in the head with an iron desk.
Since then, young Williams has been experiencing severe seizures his father said. A plea was then made to Fly Jamaica for assistance with travel tickets.
The other winners were those who tried their luck at the recently held GuyExpo. These are Shawndelle DeCruz, Windell Nelson, Jack Farley and Vernon Pompey.
Fly Jamaica which is new on the scene, currently flies Guyana, Jamaica and New York, with Canada flights expected soon.
