Dirt bike lovers are in for a treat this evening when the exponents of the sport take to the Better Hope Community Centre Ground where they will exhibit their skills competing for attractive prizes in the Friends Inc. organised Fund Raising Grass Track Meet, sponsored by Banks DIH Limited under their Banks Premium
Beer brand.
The scheduled races are anticipated to be fiercely contested with the likes of 2012 champion rider, Andy Wong and veteran Steven Vieira set to be revving up their throttles at the starting line.
Lucrative prizes are at stake for the first to third place finishers in each race at an event which will see all proceeds going towards charity and the less fortunate.
This is the third such event that is being put on by organisers, Friends Inc. which is the fund raising affiliate of Mount Olive Lodge.
Throttling time is 18:00hrs this evening which will see a total of 11 races being contested; three for professional riders, a similar amount for novices, two for those in the choppy class, one for 100cc bikes while the final race of the evening will be the handicap classic that is open to all categories.
Admission is $1000 for adults; children will pay half that amount.
