Guyanese Charles Ramson, Timothy Jonas, Sanjeev Datadin, and Tejnarine Ramroop have been included in the West Indies Lawyers Cricket Team for the upcoming Lawyers Cricket World Cup 2013 to be held in New Delhi, India.
The tournament is schedule to run from October 12 to 22nd and will see eight teams vying for honours. Teams from India, England, Sri Lanka, Australia and Pakistan are expected to participate. Each team will play six 40-overs matches in eight days and the top two teams at end of the preliminary round will contest the final.
This will be the 4th Lawyers Cricket World Cup after tournaments were held in Hyderabad, India in 2008; Cambridge, England in 2009 and Barbados in 2011. India is the defending champions having defeated Sri Lanka A in the final of the last Tournament which was played at the Kensington Oval, Barbados.
The West Indies A team was knocked out by India in the Semifinals which was played at the University of the West Indies Stadium under floodlights.
