Stepano Husbands (left) Alonzo Ambrose will be in action today in the Mountain Bike cycle race and will be aiming to make things right for
themselves and Guyana today. The duo has been hard at training on terrain that is new to them in every regard.
The track is very hilly and has lots of slopes which these riders are not used to but nonetheless, have said that they will be going all out to give of their best. Ambrose fell during the first day of practice but has recovered very well and is actually looking forward to the challenge of riding on this track.
Coach William Howard said that the track is nothing like Guyana’s flat terrain but he is looking forward to his boys giving of their best even though they will be coming up against riders who are used to these conditions.
