For the first time Guyana will be represented at the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Federation’s No-Gi Pan American Championship on September 28th, 2013. Twenty six year old Andrew Hooper has been a pioneer within Guyana for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the last year, having studied under Master Renzo Gracie in NYC and NJ, USA since 2009.
He is confident in his quest for gold and continues to share the art of BJJ within Guyana with hopes of inspiring future world champions and the overall growth of the sport.
Mr. Hooper would like to extend his gratitude to his sponsors Edward B. Beharry & Company Ltd. and “Fitness Express” Owner Jamie McDonald who made his participation in the games possible.
