Tucville/Guyhoc Park downed East/West Ruimveldt Sunday night at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall to move on in this year’s Mackeson-sponsored Trinity Grid Holdings (TGH) Pacesetters Inter-Ward Basketball Championships.
Tucville/Guyhoc defeated East/West Ruimveldt 68-57 in the lone game
Sunday with Pacesetters’ guard, Rayon Cummings scoring 12 points for Tucville/Guyhoc. Jason Squires had 10 points and six rebounds while Marlando Mickel scored 10 points.
Ewan Watson continued his prolific scoring at all levels with a mammoth 27 points, to which he added eight rebounds. Lloyd Bart supported with 10 points in a game that was won in the fourth, after Kester Gomes marshalled his East/West troops with excellence.
The Mackeson/TGH Pacesetters Inter-Ward Basketball Championships continue tomorrow night with two quarterfinal games. McDoom/Diamond will take on Wortmanville/Werk-En-Rust in the first encounter, while Plaisance/Vryheid’s Lust battles Lodge/Meadowbrook in a thrilling contest set as the feature game.
