Sunday September 15 next.
Officials are tight lipped on the various positions but from all indications, the incumbent, Peter Abdool, seems set to retain the presidency after tireless but successful efforts to enhance the fortunes of local fighters during his tenure. Apart from his commendable works in the professional fraternity where he had launched the popular Guyana Fight Night boxing cards, Mr Abdool is also credited for developmental initiatives within the amateur fraternity where at least eight boxers were allowed to participate on each of those cards. Mr Abdool also brokered a deal with furniture giants, Courts, where each of the amateurs received a large food hamper after participation on the cards.
Activities get underway at 10:00hrs where the executives will address several other concerns pertaining to boxing development as well as reports of activities during the past dispensation before the elections of office bearers commences.
