The Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) is set to attending the Caribbean International Junior Championships (CAREBACO) which will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico September 8-15, 2013.
Last year at this Championship in Dominican Republic the Guyanese Players brought home two Gold, one Silver and six Bronze medals and in the last four years, Guyana has been turning in sterling performances, medaling each year.
The Team will be competing in the Seniors Open, Juniors Under-11, 13, 15, 17 & 19 events.
Preparations have gone well with the team for the past month and a half and it is anticipated that the Guyanese will once again, do well.
At the Suriname International Championships held in April this year, the National Junior players brought home 1-Gold, 1-Silver and 4-Bronze medals.
The team members for CAREBACO 2013 are: Nicholas Ali (Captain), Narayan Ramdhani (Vice Captain), Noel Shewjattan, Jonathan Mangra, Hemraj Beharry, Nadine Jairam, Meshonn Persaud, Abosaide Cadogan and Priyanna Ramdhani. Gokarn Ramdhani is the Manager/Coach.
