Several Beach footballers are now much more educated in the intricacies of the sport following the conclusion a ten (10) days Beach Soccer summer camp under the auspices of the Cool Runnins Beach Football Club (CRBFC), at the Bayroc Sand Reserve Ground, earlier in the week.
President of CRBFC, Rollin Tappin (extreme right) share a moment with participants displaying their certificates.
The organisers said that the programme was well attended and young participants were tutored in the introductory modules of Beach Soccer as well as life skills training. The organisers further said that the overall objective of the initiative was to link sports and education with a view of fostering good sportsmen and women while focusing on youths to catapult the growth and development of beach soccer in Guyana at the grass root level.
Consequently, the executives of the club expressed deep gratitude to several businesses and individuals that contributed to the success of the programme including Aubrey Major of Major’s Sports Store, Jacs Bakery, Sherry Fife’s Snackette, Danny’s Grocery, Humanitarian Assistance program under the US Embassy, the Ministry of Culture Youth & Sports and Bayroc Sports Club.
