Caribbean Boxing Federation Super/Middleweight champion, Lennox Allen, resumed his career on a winning note when he unanimously outpointed Michel Gbenga in a six rounds Light/Heavyweight bout at the BB King Blues Club & Grill, New York, New York, USA, Wednesday August 15, last. All of the judges scored the bout in favour of the
Guyanese pugilist, 60-54, 59-55, 59-55.
Kaieteur Sport was unable to reach Allen for a post fight comment but local pugilist, Jermaine King, was at ringside and reported that the fight was a tough and gritty battle. King said that Allen utilized his reach advantage to neutralize any threat that Gbenga posed and enjoyed a relatively easy win.
Allen now sports a 17-0-10-1, his only blemish being a drawn decision to an American fighter a few years ago.
